Starry Night Penis Envy is a cross between Starry Night Albino Penis Envy and Penis Envy. This was done to increase the potency of the strain. Starry Night Albino Penis Envy is a phenotype of Albino Penis Envy that have dark blue, almost black caps with little white spots on it. This particular cross fruits dark silver caps. APE is a pale-capped sub-variety of Penis Envy, reputedly one of the most powerful varieties of P. cubensis—and rumored to have been discovered in South America by well-known author, Terrence McKenna. It can be difficult to grow, and is therefore rare, but APE is popular among entheogen users who can get it. Average to slow colonization but shoots large yielding canopies. As the name suggests, penis envy mushrooms resemble a human penis. They have a swollen, rounded cap and thick stem. These mushrooms are a particularly potent variety of Psilocybe cubensis.
