Psilocybe zapotecorum is a fascinating species of psychedelic mushroom, named after the indigenous Zapotec people of Oaxaca, Mexico, who have traditionally used it in their spiritual practices. It’s primarily found in subtropical and tropical regions, particularly in cloud forests and humid, mossy areas along riverbanks, from southern Mexico down to Central America.
