Psilocybe ‘niveo-tropicalis’ found by Scott Ostuni in Jupiter, Florida. Found fruiting in mulched and irrigated landscaping, the wild habitat for this species is currently unknown. Originally this was thought to be P. ovoideocystidata, but based on macroscopic features and DNA barcoding and microscopy of this fungus was shown to be a unique species. This is one of the newest mushrooms out of the USA. Potency analysees suggest these mushrooms can range from 14-20mg/g psilocybin content! What a cool species. Unlike most other woodlovers these fruit in warm weather!
