Koh Samui Super Strain is a strain of Koh Samui mushrooms found by mycologist John Allen. KSSS was discovered growing wild on the Thai island of Koh Samui. KSSS is an aggressive colonizer with rapid growth and decent contamination resistance. KSSS is known for large flat caps, thick stems, and densely packed clusters0. The “super” moniker refers to the strain’s powerful capabilities, which are present in mature, wild-growing versions of the mushie.
