This culture came from a friend named Eric who was lucky enough to be gifted this huge mutation from the entities while growing PT U’s great friend Joe (Mack Myco on IG) APE isolation.
We are working on sourcing Mack’s original APE isolation back. It was one of the varieties that PT U lost during their hiatus in 2024. Mack’s APE boasts a very wide base that thins as it moves up the stipe, much like a bowling pin. At the cap is has deep blue smooth shiny caps. It was one of the most potent APE cultures that PT U has ever worked with.
