Dark Spore Leucistic Isolation of Golden Citadel

A project started by a friend of PT U named @fafofruits on Instagram. FAFO started the project and then handed it off to PT U for isolation and stabilization as he was leaving the mycology community for a different line of work. Golden Citadel turned into Dark Citadel when the caps stopped having a gold-ish green hued capped leucistic to a deeper white leucistic with much darker purple gills and spores than its predecessor. PT U had both GC & DC at one point but during their hiatus in 2024 they lost Golden Citadel and were only able to retain Dark Citadel. The only thing left of Golden Citadel that we have is a picture, shared here.
Dark Citadel is known for its insane colonization and fruiting speeds which it gets from its Wild Texas parent. It isn’t too potent of a fruit, we haven’t had it officially tested, however through personal experience a lot of people agree that it’s an amazing selection for beginner mycologists.
