These premium modified liquid culture extraction lids are designed for clean, efficient LC work and built to withstand repeated use in pressure cookers and autoclaves. Each set includes two white modified lids equipped with stainless steel extraction valves featuring an all-metal interior for superior heat resistance and long-term durability. Built with high-quality lids, these are made from genuine high-heat-resistant PP5 plastic with reusable silicone seals to ensure reliability and contamination resistance over countless sterilization cycles.

The integrated extraction system allows a luer lock syringe to connect directly to the valve stem, making it easy to pull liquid culture from the bottom of a standard 32 oz canning jar without opening the lid. Tubing can be trimmed for use with smaller jars and will not interfere with magnetic stir plate operation. Each lid also includes protective red stem caps to keep the extraction point clean between uses.

Modified with industry-standard .22µm 13mm PTFE syringe filters and durable 20mm self-healing injection ports, these lids provide excellent protection against airborne contaminants such as bacteria, mold, and spores that can compromise liquid cultures. PTFE filters are widely regarded as superior to standard filter patches for maintaining sterile conditions while allowing proper gas exchange.
