Psilocybe Natalensis is a dung-loving species (but doesn’t grow directly from dung) closely related to Psilocybe cubensis.
It was first found in the KwaZulu-Natal province and is only known in South Africa.
The species was described as new to science in 1995.
New scientific studies reveal that it has phytochemical, cytotoxicity, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.
