Like the other lids sold by MICoFroots, these lids are for dispensing liquid culture, or “LC”. These particular premium lids are made with premium parts. These upgraded parts are heavier, sturdier and made to last multiple uses in the pressure cooker or autoclave. Each lid comes with an upgraded self healing injection port, an upgraded hydrophobic filter for gas exchange, newer flow control valve, gasket sealed adapter for the internal straw and outer dispensing straw, and an upgraded luer cap for the luer dispensing straw. These are fully autoclavable/heat-resistant. So, no need to remove this dispensing straw cap beforehand. They are ready to go! The straws are detachable for cleaning. The adapter and port are gasket sealed so they are not removable.
