Clockwerk Orange…the story begins with the original Clockwerk TAT project, starting from an early TAT mutation that had grown barrel shaped albino fruits, and their most notable feature being a flattened cap with a tightly kinked margin, resembling a gear wheel. My attempts to replicate this trait were just starting to show promise, and then it decided it didn’t want to be an albino anymore, and Clockwerk Orange was born. These new fruits took on a narrower shape, and the flattened cap was replaced with a bullet shaped helmet that eventually curls up at the edge like the bowler caps worn by Alex and his droogs in the movie….and their colors are richly vibrant. They later produced an albino offshoot of similar shape, labeled Moloko Plus in keeping with the “A Clockwork Orange” movie theme.
