This was an attempted di-mon cross between my APE dikaryon isolate and a Thai Lipa Yai monokaryon. I was expecting a brown phenotype due to the presumed recessive nature of albino alleles. The phenotype is clearly albino with clear spores which indicates one of two things. Either the cross was unsuccessful and this is just a reisolation of the original APE dikaryon, OR the Thai Lipa Yai monokaryon has a ‘rarer’ albino allele and this fruit represents a combination of the two genotypes. There are other possibilities, but I love to offer these types of genetics for others to explore along with me.
