The original KSSS squats have long been one of my all time favorites, and were variety that first got me interested in mushroom genetics. I wanted to try and create an albino version of them with my KSAT (KSSS/TAT) cross, and spent two years fighting with the project before finally achieving the KSAT Albino Squats…and then right after that, the original KSSS produced an albino of its own.
These are very slow growing, incredibly dense, pumpkin shaped mushrooms with caps that flare up to show off their thick, wavy gills. They can be a bit stubborn, and do better with a higher substrate ratio. The fruits are very heavy for their size, and just like the originals, the experience is second to none!
