Panaeolus Cinctulus also known as the Banded Mottlegil, growing in areas much like P. Semilanceata, Found in areas where horses reside and on hay bails that have been left out. They also like to grow in grass filled areas, especially where they have been well kept and fertilized. Grows in dung,compost, rotting hay and in well manured ground in the spring, summer and early fall. Widely distributed. It grows abundantly after rain and can be found all over the world and in the United States it can be found in all 50 states.
Sometimes bruising at the base, but more than likely the stipe will be to dark to see any bruising.
